What kind of training do counsellors received?

Counsellors attend two staff training sessions prior to the camp season, during which a wide variety of topics are covered. They learn about responsibilities, leadership, safety and more. In total, five days are devoted to staff training.

Is first-aid available at camp?

A lifeguard will be at all camps who has Standard First-Aid and CPR-C training. As part of counsellor training, a review of first-aid procedures is provided. Additionally, a nurse may be present at some camps.

What are the meals like?

Campers enjoy home cooked meals prepared by a head cook and volunteer campers. Special arrangements can be made to accomodate any allergies or diet restrictions.

How many campers will there be per cabin?

Often 5-10 per cabin, with 20-30 at camp in total.

What is the Camp Celebration?

Every year towards the end of the camp season, Wellman Lake Bible Camp holds a celebration service. Memories from the summer are highlighted, and afterwards a potluck supper is held. Everyone is welcome to attend.

When exactly should I arrive at camp?

Registration/sign-in begins at the time listed for each camp on the schedule. Doors will not open before this time. Activities begin after all campers are registered.
